Total Action for Progress
September 2017 - March 2018From September 2017 to March 2018 I worked as the Communications Intern for non-profit Total Action for Progress in Roanoke, Virginia, USA. Total Action for Progress is a sizable organization which serves the community by providing assistance for survivors of domestic violence, veterans, area youth, impoverished families, and ex-offenders in a number of ways. I had a number of projects while at TAP as assigned by my supervisor. On a weekly basis I handled the press logs, press releases, and social media postings (across several TAP accounts). I created images and posts for several social media campaigns to cover upcoming TAP events. I also helped research new and ongoing projects for TAP such as monthly fundraisers, speaking engagements, donor gifts, and partner contacts information. I helped TAP with its first ever Radiothon, as well as at the Annual Lunch event. Below you will see samples from the social media campaigns I created. Stanton Pace
Summer 2015For the summer of 2015 I spent my time working at a small company in London, UK. Stanton Pace is a small media company that builds videos and manages several different websites. While there I worked with two websites: CaravanTimes and MotorbikeTimes. I spent most of my time writing articles for both sites. I also created a weekly newsletter for each site, and did other tasks as assigned by my supervisor. The experience was valuable, and doing an internship abroad was unforgettable. In my time at Stanton Pace I wrote four to six articles daily, and ended up writing over 70 articles. Below are some of my favorite articles that were published on each of the sites. Please note all pieces do include HTML coding, as they were fit for web use, and include English spelling and phrases, as the audience is in the UK. To see all of my work on CaravanTimes please click here. To see all of my work on MotorbikeTimes please click here.
